How to avoid foods with
added sugars?

Naturally occurring sugars are in many
foods, such as fruit and milk. Added
sugars can be in many foods to increase
flavor and it's not just the obvious like
soda or candy, instead, think about
ketchup, mayonnaise, barbecue or
spaghetti sauce, salad dressings,
breakfast cereals and breads. It is
important to check the label to make
sure you avoid too much added sugars.
It is fine to eat food that contains natural
sugars.

fruit.

​​Ex. Replace sweetened beverages
for unsweetened.

​Ex. Replace flavored yogurts
containing lots of added sugar
with plain greek yogurt topped
with your own fresh fruit.
